The second and final eclipse of the season is a total lunar eclipse late May 15 into the early morning May 16.  This one will be visible in the U.S. Here's the data.

The location is 1:08 Scorpio, as shown in the below eclipse chart.

Recall that if the eclipsed Moon is within 2 degrees of a planet in your chart, or any chart actually, that chart will be blocked for up to six months.  For the charts The Celestial Wheel is currently monitoring -- Trump, U.S. and Joe Biden -- this eclipse will not hit them.

Also, bear in mind, as eclipses by their very nature block, they also reveal.  This results because as the light of the Sun or Moon is blocked, the sky darkens and the stars can be seen -- revealed.  Eclipse effects become noticeable about two weeks before the astronomical event and continue to be intense for a week following.

We have a great example of this revealing quality of eclipses in the Friday April 29, 2022 partial solar eclipse.  Just three days later on Monday May 2, the Supreme Court draft opinion on the Mississippi abortion case was leaked.  Because this attacks Roe versus Wade, protecting abortion rights, it is a momentous event.  Not only does the Supreme Court never leak, but this releasing secret information about the court's proceedings obviously influences the judges -- before they make their decision.

I include the weekdays here -- Friday for the eclipse and Monday for the leak -- because during weekends major items are typically not in the news.  That is, Politico, which leaked the document, did so after coming back to work after the weekend.  To make it clear how decisive and important this is, note, per Politico, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Alito writes in an initial majority draft circulated inside the court.

The upcoming lunar eclipse could also very well dredge up secreted information.  This is because the Moon is in Scorpio, the sign of hidden information, much of which is nasty, even scandalous.  Scorpio is also the Moon's fallen (weak) sign, and because three degrees is the maximum debilitation, this one degree Scorpio eclipse hits a very sensitive spot.  Look for a lot of lunar emotional rage and other excessive behaviors around this period.

Let's see what happens, but also, stay up late a week from Sunday to witness the celestial event.

The total lunar eclipse is just around the corner on Sunday, May 15.  Actually, with eclipse effects beginning a couple of weeks before the astronomical event, we're already in a foreshadowing of eclipsing blocking and revealing.  As explained in the (above) May 6, Another Eclipse Coming,

While solar eclipses are more potent than lunar eclipses, this one being total does elevate its karmas -- influences.

Also happening now is a Mercury retrograde -- May 10 to June 3.  When this planet of communications goes retrograde -- backwards -- is brings past communications.  That is, things from the past pop out.

Here's again is the eclipse chart from the May 6, Another Eclipse Coming.  Notice the R next to Mercury, indicating retrograde. See also that Mercury and the Moon are directly opposite, which means they aspect (glance) upon each other.  When Mercury's calculating mind joins with the Moon's perceptional/emotional consciousness, the resulting intellect becomes concentrated -- like distilling strong brandy out of weak wine.  Sometimes, the mind becomes so intense, it's chaotic.

With the combination of the lunar eclipse's revealing quality of sensitive and alarming information, and Mercury retrograde's bringing things from the past, expect a major information dump(s) of previous actions.  Further, with Mercury and the fallen Moon aspecting each other to concentrate the mind, also expect tremendous, even fierce, reactions.  Note there can be multiple secrets revealed and also, with Mercury confusingly retrograde and the mental intensity of Moon/Mercury aspects, digesting the information clearly will be a challenge.  It may take some time to integrate the scandalous news into objective reality.

This information is strictly transits -- where the planets are in today's skies.  Thus, the influence is global. For the U.S. chart this Scorpio lunar eclipse is the twelfth house of loss. Thereby, this eclipse is a strong karma for the U.S. suffering loss, or most likely losses.  Further, since in this chart the Moon rules the eighth house of scandals, calamities and secrets, those influences are also coming forward in the eclipse. That is, hidden eighth house information that is revealed will cause twelfth house losses. This could be in any area of life.

For Trump, the fallen Moon hits his fourth house of emotions, suggesting he'll react with fury and over the top rhetoric.

The blocking and revealing influences result in both solar and lunar eclipses.  The blocking part is not as obvious and clear as the revealing side -- which naturally is also more provocative, or at least interesting.  Yet, it's not easy to identify which event (or events) may relate to an eclipse.  After all, heavy stuff happens all the time, and other planetary combinations bring major events -- like the beginning of the Saturn subcycle in the U.S. chart on January 6, 2021 signaled the January 6 insurrection.

Yet, it seems clear, and more obvious as time passes, that the Supreme Court abortion case is a huge reveal -- a momentous event that must reverberate through society and at least the next two election cycles this year and 2024.  Will the country regress to its fear, hate and racism roots or lurch forward further into the Second Progressive Age?  From the May 6 Another Eclipse Coming,

The May 6 Another Eclipse Coming stated about the May 15 total lunar eclipse,

The signal revealing event here was the 2022 Buffalo shooting -- May 14, 11 black folks killed by a guy supporting the Great Replacement Theory.  That's the concept of preventing Christian white genocide by bringing together (1) fear of colored immigrants (and LGBT) (2) the white minority goal for more children by banning abortion and (3) unlimited guns to keep the minorities down.  Great Replacement Theory for these folks is like three cherries on the banana split for good ole boys, and girls too!  Belly up to the cruise ship desert bar.

Yes, there have been lots and lots of mass murders and other violences against blacks and other minorities -- especially LGBT, as noted above.  But this one seems to be sticking because it was justified by Great Replacement Theory, which concept puts together in one neat package the three listed drivers of a conservative movement that's become oppressive.  BTW, Trump didn't create this. He exploited it.  And the crowds love it.

Where these eclipse revealings go is not predicted.  Well, it's hard with this Mercury retrograde -- ending June 3.  Too, with Mercury retrograde bringing things up from the past, there may very well be echoes from other times that add to and influence this achilles heal in the U.S. chart -- mystical paranoia.

Mars circles the zodiac in two years -- crossing a sign in about two months.  In doing so, Mars laps much slower Jupiter, which takes twelve years to circumnavigate the zodiac -- a sign in about a year.  So, Mars catches up with Jupiter in two years and two months.  Retrogrades change the timing here to some degree, but the speed relationships hold.

The last time Mars conjoined Jupiter was March, 2020 -- when COVID first struck and struck hard.  Because Mars is infections, this makes sense.  Here's the chart from the March 18, 2020 Planetary Karmas Coming Forward -- on the left with a current chart on the right.

In 2020, now, and many times in earlier Celestial Wheel entries, we looked to Mars, (the planet of action) to signal events and major changes.  This results because he is the planet of storms, war, courage, guns, military, farmers.....  Mars is action.

Two years ago in 2020, Mars got tangled up with mystical and dissolving Ketu eclipse point earlier and then headed toward Saturn, the planet of chronic disease and death.  So yes, Mars, the planet of action, did great damage then.

This current Mars/Jupiter conjunction is not difficult and can actually stimulate advocacy for a cause.  This results from Pitta (fiery) Mars throwing aggressive energy at Kapha (watery) Jupiter, the relatively placid planet of the higher mind, religion, philosophy, morality, ethics, law....  Courageous action, valor, philanthropy, charismatic leadership and the proverbial good guy are karmas arising from Mars/Jupiter.  Because Jupiter is in Pisces, a sign it owns, Jupiter does well in.  That is, Jupiter is protected from Mars' worst harms.

Yes, there was the horrific mass murder yesterday in Texas, which energy we may ascribe to Mars/Jupiter, now just degrees apart. However, we're still coming out of the shadow of the May 14, total lunar eclipse. Then, because the Moon was so damaged in Scorpio, brought lunar emotional rage and other excessive behaviors.  There is also the issue of the confusing Mercury retrograde that upsets.  So, Mars/Jupiter isn't the culprit here.  The duo is an energizer, but not of destructions.

It could be that this disaster motivates strong and affirmative advocacy for gun control and other totalitarian impulses that are the staple of the Republican Party now.  While Mars and Jupiter will be exactly conjunct May 29, they continue in Pisces together until June 26. So, we have some time for this energy to make meaningful impacts.

There is one political arena that will tremendously stimulate the Mars/Jupiter karma for doing the right thing -- the Congressional January 6 committee public hearings -- on TV. The dates for these are:

Public and private responses to these revelations can and should be tremendous, revealing the lies and crimes of the entire rotten group of would be despots.

You can see in the above chart for today that Mars is past Saturn and soon will pass by Jupiter as well. Venus, Mercury and the Sun are advanced already beyond Mars.  Because they transit a sign in just a month, they will continue to speed away from him.

That leaves Mars to attack Rahu, the head-of-the-dragon eclipse point, which both moves slowly (18 months in a sign) and goes backwards.  This is a nasty combination -- virulent.  Mars will be with Rahu in Aries June 26 to the end of July.  And Mars will be within the four degree range for damaging Rahu -- and visa versa -- at the end of that month.  So the energy will build during the entire month of July.  That's why this entry is titled Mars/Jupiter Conjunction & More.  All kinds of violences, including hurricanes, should be expected then.  Also, since Mars/Rahu conjunction happens in fiery Aries, expect fires to erupt.

Let's put these transits into context with the Dasas -- planetary cycles -- which form the underlying karma.  Remember, Dasas are like the river of life, and transits are like weather on the river.  And when they match up, accurate predictions can be made.

Given that the U.S. chart's Dasas (planetary cycles) are the very rough combination of Rahu and Saturn from January 5, 2021 to November 12, 2023, this underlying karma will continue to bring tremendous aggressions, relentlessness, victimizing, abusive behaviors and actions and emotions as cold and unforgiving as ice. To accentuate again how difficult this combination is, remember it began one day before the January 6 insurrection.

This spring we've seen three transit combinations matching up with major stressors.  First, there was the Capricorn Collision -- Mars conjoining Saturn peaking March 28.  Second was the April 30 partial solar eclipse. And third was the May 15 total lunar eclipse. (Note: eclipses are transits which darken the Sun and Moon.)  Each brought strife.  Here's a listing with key events/trends.

March 28 Capricorn Collision   Predictions were:  Trump falling off his perch, COVID returning and the Ukraine invasion continuing to worsen. (Trump's legal woes worsened, and we can see now in the Republican primaries that failed endorsements show his power is waning.  (Covid was vanishing last Memorial Day.  Cases are five times higher now.)

April 30 partial solar eclipse Supreme Court leaked abortion ruling draft.  Monkeypox outbreak confirmed May 6.

May 15 total lunar eclipse May 14 Buffalo NY mass shooting of 10 and the May 24 Uvalde Texas mass shooting of 21.

Coming up in June are the six public hearings by the January 6 committee, which can turn the country on its head as we learn the details of the scope and breath of this attempted coup.  The one noteworthy transit then is Mars and Jupiter continuing together in Pisces.  While Mars and Jupiter (advocacy) will be exactly conjunct May 29, they continue in Pisces together until June 26.  So, we have some time for this energy to make meaningful impacts.

In summer, Mars will attack Rahu in Aries June 26 until the end of July.  Hurricanes and fires have been predicted, especially toward the end of July.  But Mars/Rahu can bring all kinds of harms -- accidents, explosions, wrecks...

And then we have the U.S. chart running the victimizing Rahu/Saturn combination in its Dasas -- the underlying karma -- like the river of life.

The idea here is these set the stage for upcoming major shifts in social and political landscapes.  Cults, after all, blow themselves up. And summers are now deadly with hurricanes and fires pumped up by global warming.  Of course, with Mercury retrograde continuing until early June 3, finding threads within this accumulating harmful karma is elusive.  Predictions thereby are also not forthcoming.

Yet, it seemed timely to publish these thoughts. And this quote seems somehow fitting.
